LS3P collaborated with Cogdell & Mendrala Architects on this new community school for grades K-8. The prototype plan allowed the district to maintain its tight construction schedule by streamlining the design and construction process. The design includes core academic spaces, a media center, visual and performing arts labs, administrative spaces, dining facilities, and a gymnasium. A central circulation spine serves common areas and 3 grade-level classroom wings. The traditional building façade recalls the area’s heritage while incorporating modern elements for a 21st century aesthetic.
