STEM Fest at Roper Mountain Science Center LS3P hosted a table at the Roper Mountain Science Center’s Second Saturday STEM Fest with Seamon Whiteside and Turner Construction. This is the firm’s fourth year participating in this event and the team presented an activity to the students entitled “The Strength of Paper”. The team discussed Pritzker Prize winning architect, Shigeru Ban, and his paper buildings. Then, students had a chance to test their own paper structures with weights of pennies and stuffed animals to determine which shapes are stronger and why.
