The new Surf City Elementary School and Middle School are located in Surf City, North Carolina on 99.22 acres. The new K-8 school is divided into two wings—one wing serving the elementary school (750 kids) and the other serving the middle school (818 students).

With a 1,500 student base and capacity of 1,564 students, each wing has a designated main entrance. Each wing has dedicated administration areas, art rooms, media centers, music rooms, and computer labs. Elementary and middle school students share the kitchen, a subdivided cafeteria space, gym, locker rooms, and multipurpose room.
