Submit Meet the Speakers Emily Kite Senior Project Manager Emily Kite, AIA brings over twenty years of design and leadership experience working at firms in the Asheville area. A graduate of The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Architecture, Emily is highly experienced in designing for early childcare, K-12, and higher education clients. She is an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) through the Association of Learning Environments; she is also Chair of the Historic Resources Commission for Asheville and Buncombe County, and sits on the property committee for First Presbyterian Church in Asheville. Taylor Morris Taylor brings an energetic spirit and enthusiasm to her work each day. She seamlessly tackles the wants and needs of clients and employees alike and juggles tasks. The world of architecture blends two of Taylor’s passions: creativity and people. She quickly learned firsthand how the built environment can have a positive effect on both individuals and communities on a very personal level, and thrives on telling that story to the world. Rachel Holtzclaw Rachel is a dedicated Learning Environment Specialist, her role is to serve and support any physical school space (interior and exterior). As a mother herself, she strives to design and implement exactly what she would desire for her children’s student experience. Becky Baylor Becky is a passionate educator who delivers high-energy presentations that invite audiences to engage in deep thinking about educational practices and research while considering their own learning environments. Educators love working with Becky, often describing her as the “coach I never knew I needed.” With over fifteen years of public school teaching and coaching experience, a knack for making meaningful connections with educators and an insatiable appetite for helping others maximize learning experiences, Becky knows how to rock a platform, connect with teams and provide training so that others can effectively impact their spaces too.
