Tristan Bassingthwaighte is a LEED certified Architect in the Asheville office.  He began his architecture career in 2017 as a healthcare staff designer and has since gained experience with custom residential design, civil and infrastructural work, as well as a variety of commercial projects. His interests lay in extreme environmental design, environmentally sensitive buildings, and a reliance on renewable systems.

 

Tristan holds a doctorate in architecture from the University of Hawai’i. While in Hawaii, he spent a year living in the HI-SEAS habitat on Mauna Loa as a member of Mission IV, experiencing firsthand the stressors of a manned mission on Mars.
