Twomey Selected for Upstate Forever Citizens Planning Academy LS3P's Laura Twomey participated in a four week Citizens Planning Academy hosted by Upstate Forever. Participants learned about city planning, zoning, density, and how to be an effective advocate in these issues.
Serving 50 Families: Rebuild Upstate This month we continued our year of Serving 50 Families by teaming with Rebuild Upstate to build a ramp at a local upstate home. These efforts will allow seniors to age in place in their homes. Thank you to the team members who made this project a success: Burgess Metcalf and Marissa DiLoreto.
Serving 50 Families: Backpack Buddies This month we continued our year of Serving 50 Families by teaming with Trinity Lutheran Church to prepare Backpack Buddies bags for students in Greenville schools that otherwise might not have enough to eat on the weekends. Design Competition for PAALS: Puppy Pow Wow LS3P Columbia took part in the Good Design Challenge Puppy Pow Wow, a design competition benefiting the Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS). This design competition raised over $1,200 for PAALS. Our first Magis puppy, Pretty In Pink, was created with over 200 handmade pom poms. The second, Andy Wardog, was created by individual
Special Olympics SC & Columbia Rotary Club Bocce Ball Bash LS3P Columbia was proud to be a sponsor for the Bocce Ball Bash this year! Our team enjoyed a fun day of competition, team building and networking, but the best part was supporting the 29,000 Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina.
Bria Prioleau Serves as Team Leader for ACE of the Midlands After School Program LS3P Columbia's Bria Prioleau was the Team Leader for the ACE of the Midlands 12-week After School Program. Held at Richland Two Institute of Innovation, the ACE Mentor Program focuses on exposing high school students to pursue careers in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction.
Serving 50 Families: United Way School Tools The school year has begun! This month we continued our year of Serving 50 Families with the United Way School Tools drive. We enjoy this project each year and gather stacks of notebooks, rulers, and crayons for the students at Greenville County Schools. #LS3P50GVL
Sand Sculpting in the City...Dr. Seuss Style Our Charleston office had an amazing time as they brought the beach to North Charleston with an inspiring sand sculpture honoring the theme "Oh, The Things You'll Do!"  The 2019 North Charleston Children's Festival brought together interactive entertainment, fun outdoor games, and hands-on art activities during the Dr. Seuss-inspired affair.

Our team survived the heat while laying a beautiful sod lawn.
