On Friday, September 13, 2013, LS3P, Hill Construction, Sherwin Williams, Bluewater Paints, and Coastal Millwork joined together to participate in Trident United Way’s Day of Caring. The team designed a project themed “Playing Around” for the children at St. Stephen’s Elementary School. The intent of the project was to build on the seven habits of highly effective people and transition these ideas outside of the schools playground area in order to create a highly active learning zone. The first area, Four Square, is based on Steve Covey’s Time Management Quadrants; the second area “begins with the end in mind” which displays painted footprints on the sidewalk; and hopscotch is painted on the sidewalk with stepping stones to create a pathway around the game. Congratulations on another successful Day of Caring event!
