LS3P Supports Howe Scholarship for African American Students LS3P’s Charles Boney was at St. Stephen AME Church in Wilmington on Tuesday to support the Howe Scholarship for African American students entering the Design and Construction Industry. The Scholarship was generously funded by writer and film producer Lucy McCauley of Texas. She named the scholarship in honor of the Howes, a gifted family of at least four generations of African American builders and carpenters who contributed immensely to construction in Wilmington from the mid-19th century into the early 20th centuries.
