Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign: Wilmington

This holiday season, we honor the colleagues, clients, and friends who make our neighborhoods great. On your behalf, and with gratitude for your friendship, LS3P is donating to nonprofit organizations in each of our eight cities.

Our Wilmington office came together this holiday season to collect toys for TA Loving. TA Loving collects toys and financial donations for hospitalized children and their families. The children range from newborn to 18 years old and are being treated for various illnesses. The gifts that are collected are stored at the hospitals, and are distributed on Christmas Eve. The nurses, therapists, and parents gather the gifts for the children and set them in their rooms, usually while the patient is sleeping.

Leftover toys are distributed to children throughout the year, including on their birthdays, before a big treatment that they might be worried about, or if they are just having a bad day. They also extend the gift-giving to the siblings, since their lifestyle is usually very altered with having a sick sibling.
