Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College

Ferguson Center for Allied Health & Workforce Development

The Allied Health + Workforce Development Center opened January 2016 after being ranked the highest-priority critical needs project identified by AB Tech’s 2010 Master Plan. LS3P collaborated with AB Tech and Lord Aeck Sargent on a detailed program for every space in the building. The building supports the College’s ability to increase enrollment within the Allied Health Program.

The building houses dental and primary care clinics, laboratories, and support spaces specific to the Allied Health curriculum, as well as classroom and offices. Workstations and public interaction space are strategically integrated throughout the design to foster a sense of community and shared learning experiences. This state-of-the-art facility is a welcome new home at AB Tech, and will enhance the College’s ability to compete effectively for top students and faculty.
