The MUSC College of Dental Medicine is a teaching facility with a clinical component. The college includes several replicas of standard dental offices known as “operatories” which provide students with hands-on teaching forums. The building houses residency programs, specialty dentistry research areas, a large central sterile department, student spaces, and administration. Each floor contains break-out seminar spaces and study areas for residents.

The restorative dentistry floor contains 42 open operatories and a 1,400 SF state-of-the-art prosthodontic laboratory space. A central imaging department with CT capabilities serves the entire facility, with satellite imaging centers on each floor.
