Interconnected

The office buildings are interconnected by service tunnel systems that carry the IT spine and facilitate services management from only two dock areas for the entire complex. The skin utilizes stone, brick, precast accent bands, aluminum curtain wall, and glass. The southern elevation incorporates light shelves and sun screens which are attached to the curtain wall. The construction is steel frame and composite slab.

Environmental Stewardship Plan

The east-west orientation of the building facilitates daylighting, with shading devices and light shelves to control the amount of natural light. Limited glazing on the east and west facades minimizes solar heat gain and glare. Biodiverse systems integrate building stormwater into filtration ponds, and the site plan incorporates wetlands to create a feathered and layered landscape featuring winding trails and natural plantings. The project achieved LEED® Gold certification, and adheres to an Environmental Stewardship Plan. LS3P is responsible for master planning, building design, interior architecture, and furniture systems for the new phases of the Headquarters campus.
