The goal of the Northeast Park project was to create a regional recreation park in the northeast quadrant of Guilford County. The park structures include a Community Center with Park Offices, Assembly Hall and Kitchen as well as Pool, Bath House and Park Concessions/Pump House/Public Toilet Building. These buildings are clustered at the center of the park to support other park activities including softball, soccer, picnic areas, equestrian, walking, and biking. As a rural agricultural area of Guilford County, the park structures recall the vernacular architecture of early 1900’s farm structures in this area of North Carolina.
