Ingevity Headquarters
Ingevity provides specialty chemicals, high-performance carbon materials and engineered polymers. Ingevity’s new 108,000 SF headquarters is located within North Charleston’s Garco Mill West office building. This cutting edge, Class A, office and meeting space will allow for employment growth and consolidate employees into one location, while also allowing for the current Ingevity Technical Center, also located in North Charleston, to return to its original purpose as a research laboratory.

Monumental Staircase
A central monumental stair is located adjacent to a 3-story park facing window, establishing both an interior and exterior design focal point, as well as a vertical hub for the interior space plan. The stair is constructed of wood treads, glass guardrails and metal fittings, and appears freestanding within a multi-story atrium by utilizing discrete structural support beneath the intermediate landings. The stair features a 30’ high custom glass LED chandelier which pays homage to the chemical reactions and molecules central to the client’s work, and a 14’ wide x 40’ high commissioned art piece by Mary Edna Fraser depicting an abstract aerial view of Charleston waterways utilizing bright colors from the interior design palette.
Unique Amenities
Several unique amenities are positioned for convenience adjacent to the connecting monumental stair including: a 4th floor roof terrace and pre-function area furnished for working, dining or relaxing; an executive boardroom with custom conference table and electrified privacy glass; an upscale communal kitchen with a multi-purpose dining area; and a large divisible all-hands training space.
