Longknife Basic Combat Training Complex

LS3P led the design charrette for the Design/Build team of Clark Construction, LS3P and GE Modular in completing these temporary Unit of Action (UA) facilities at Fort Bliss, Texas. These new facilities support the 4th Brigade Combat Team (BCT) of the 1st Cavalry Division.

The complex is within the confines of the Biggs Army Airfield (AAF), a sub-installation of Fort Bliss, and includes over 594 temporary, relocatable buildings providing: 2,472 bed Barracks; (1) Brigade Headquarters; (6) Battalion Headquarters; (31) Company Operations Facilities (73,920 SF); (1) Dining Facility (feed 500 meals, 3x/day; 23,350 SF); (5) Vehicle Maintenance Complexes.

Also involved in this scope of work was site development, utilities, interiors and furniture and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection.

The design of this BCT was oriented towards maximizing available funding to provide the greatest balance of headquarters, administrative, maintenance and billeting facilities possible.
