Margaret Clarkson brings extensive experience with public relations and community engagement to her Business Development role in LS3P’s Columbia office. Margaret’s professional experience includes running a boutique creative agency in London for eight years, creating the first biodiversity butterfly trail in Singapore through a P3 opportunity, serving as marketing director for a children’s museum, and leading business development efforts for diverse public, nonprofit, and commercial clients at firms in Washington D.C, Boston, London and Singapore. In addition to pursuing prospective opportunities across all sectors for LS3P, Margaret is actively engaged in professional and community outreach. She currently serves as Commission Chair of the Governors’ Mansion Commission appointed by Governor Henry McMaster, CREW (Commercial Real Estate for Women) board member, Regional Competitiveness Committee for the Midlands of South Carolina, SCDEA Women’s committee and immediate past commodore of Columbia Sailing Club. Margaret has recently served on the Boards of the Columbia Rotary, Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, Leadership Columbia Alumni, and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
