The Morganton Regional Readiness Center project consists of three buildings on one site with two phases of construction. The three buildings include a 65,740-square-foot Regional Readiness Center, 8,048-square-foot General Purpose Training Bay (Building B) and a 4,548-square-foot Unheated Storage Building (Building C). The Readiness Center and Training Bay buildings will be conventional construction while the storage building will be a pre-engineered metal building. Development of plans, specifications, cost estimates and UFC and UFG Specifications.
In 2016, A Regional Readiness Center (RRC) study and prototype design was developed. The Morganton project was identified as the first of seven sites to receive a new regional readiness center ‘HUB.’ LS3P was selected to assist the NCNG in advanced planning for the Morganton Regional Readiness Center. The design team worked with the NCNG to develop an array of conceptual designs based on all Owner Requirements. Meetings and a design charrette were held to develop an array of conceptual designs based on three courses of action (COA) identified by the owner.
