The National Gypsum renovation consisted of approximately 12,500 GSF of space on the first floor (lobby) and also provided an employee outdoor dining area of approximately 1,200 SF, an employee cafe, a sales conference room, formal and informal meeting spaces.

The new design starts with the addition of fenestration in the mostly blank first floor exterior, and the creation of a courtyard/dining terrace to extend the building into the open exterior. The conferencing center features moving walls. New interior finishes were chosen to create canvasses for exhibits and other art, and included red and yellow accents that reflect the company colors. The distinctive National Gypsum red band extends through the building and into the new courtyard. New interior lighting adds well-lit spaces in sharp contrast to previous lighting levels.
