In January 2020, LS3P’s team was selected to develop, design, and construct a new government center that will provide office space; a 35,000 SF Emergency Operations Center; and a 911 Center for New Hanover County.

Featuring a new 100,000 SF office building designed for resilience, the full build-out will eventually be a mixed-used development with multi-family housing and retail. The mix of tilt-up and conventional construction is durable and economical, with strategies such as tinted impact-resistant glass and screening to protect mechanical systems from windborne debris during a storm.
