The project includes major interior renovation and minor exterior rehabilitation of the existing historic 12,372-square-foot Herty Hall Mathematics Building. The project qualifies as new construction and the scope of work includes a complete replacement of aging systems for improved building energy efficiency, reconfiguration of the interior to support mathematics programs in a more efficient layout, and modifications as required for ADA accessibility, plumbing code fixture counts, and life safety requirements. Minor exterior improvements include window rehabilitation or replacement, possible removal of the existing exterior fire escape stairs, and possible reconstruction of the entrance canopy.
