Located in the historic district of Charleston, SC, this project artfully knits together five historic buildings dating back to the 1780s. The renovation of the popular 36,800 SF Vendue Inn boutique hotel, located at East Bay Street and Vendue Range, provides a functional and visual connection of the buildings in the first floor public spaces with a new walkway through arched openings in the partition walls that once separated the buildings. The interior renovation includes a bar, dining area, lobby and coffee shop as well as renovation to some of the rooms. Exterior renovations include opening up the first floor with the addition of larger windows for a better connection to the street life, renovation of the popular roof-top bar and new entry canopies.
