Johnson Technology CenterYork, SC This new 2,000-student campus features a 280,500 SF classroom building, a state-of-the-art technology center, and a range of athletic facilities. Educational spaces include classrooms, special education resource rooms, visual art studios, ROTC space, choral rooms, a band room, a cafeteria, and a 1,000 seat auditorium. A central media center with high ceilings, clerestory windows, and solar shades is designed for a variety of uses, with study tables, computer areas, lounge seating, and moveable shelves for flexibility. The 70,000 SF technology center houses programs for architectural technology, CADD drafting, construction technology, engineering, family and consumer sciences, computer technology, agriculture education, health science, masonry, automotive technology, culinary arts, cosmetology, business, and marketing. The 128-acre campus features an 8,500 seat football stadium, a running track, varsity and junior varsity baseball fields, varsity and junior varsity softball fields, tennis courts, a soccer field, practice fields, and two centrally located press box/restroom/concession buildings with team changing rooms. A 2,000-seat gymnasium and auxiliary gym with associated locker rooms and storage provide indoor athletic space.
