St John Cemetery Celebrates Juneteenth with Grand Opening LS3P Design in Kind project work on the St. John Cemetery in Charleston, SC celebrated their opening ceremony and blessing today, Juneteenth. This historic site has over 1,000 African American enslaved and “free people of color” buried side by side. Today’s dedication celebrated the transformation of this space from an untended field into a proper burial and commemoration site.
