Steven Johnson, AIA Senior Living Sector Leader LS3P’s Firmwide Senior Living Sector Leader, Steven Johnson AIA, is based in our Greensboro, NC office and serves to spearhead strategic growth and cultivating the Life Plan Community market throughout the Southeast. With a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University, including a 2-year associate degree in environmental design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a general contractor license, Steven has over 20 years of architectural design and construction experience. He spent 7 years with The Presbyterian Homes Inc (now Brightspire) as their Director of Design & Construction, managing every facet of the repositioning process for multiple Life Plan communities. In his early career Steven owned his own architecture/construction firm focusing on design-build project delivery of commercial adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and high-end single-family homes. He is the past-president of local AIA chapter, Preservation Greensboro Inc, The Preservation Greensboro Development Fund, the Greensboro Builders Association (GBA), and the GBA Remodelers Council and served on the Guilford County Historic Preservation Commission. He is past-board member and executive committee member for the local chapter of NAHB, USGBC, Habitat for Humanity Greensboro, and North Carolina Section of the AIA.
