Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy Wilmington’s K-12 team designed a day of education for 40 area 8th-graders centered around careers in Design, Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate. Using Legos and carpet squares, students built city blocks and presented their designs to the class. Architects, engineers, contractors, and real estate professionals discussed the career opportunities provided by the design & construction industry. After lunch, we took students on a tour of downtown (including our LS3P office) to experience buildings and burn off energy. We held the class in City Hall, with a surprise visit by Mayor Bill Saffo. The class is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s Career Leadership Academy. Post navigation CLT We CareClemson Students in Wilmington
